Unlike most synthetic options made from plastic (polyester or nylon), Synths2 is crafted from collagen – a protein naturally found in human hair. That means softer strands, natural movement, and a hyper-realistic finish.

Synths2 is made from advanced collagen protein fibre that mimics the structure of human hair. It can be heat-styled, dyed, and re-shaped while holding texture and form with ease. The fibre is durable enough for repeated use, yet biodegradable so it’s kinder to the planet once you’re finished.

Synths2 is made from advanced collagen protein fibre, primarily sourced from bovine (beef) collagen. This collagen comes from type 1 and type 3 proteins found in cow hides - the same proteins often used to support joint and gut health! After cattle are processed for meat, the hides are carefully treated to extract the collagen protein.

The collagen is then hydrolysed, breaking it down into smaller amino acids that make the fibre stronger, more flexible and easier to style. Unlike many synthetic options made from plastic, collagen proteins are naturally more heat-resistant, making them ideal for safe styling up to 180°C. Finally, the fibres are dyed and set on rods to achieve the desired colours and textures, ensuring consistency across every pack of hair.

We find that most people use 3–4 packs. For fuller looks, you may need 5+ packs depending on the style, thickness and length you want. Each pack is 140g, with the exception of the Afro Kinky texture which is 80g, as less is needed per style.

With proper care, Synths2 can last for multiple wears. Most protective styles will hold for 4–6 weeks depending on your maintenance routine.

Moisturise your scalp regularly, wrap your braids at night, and wash gently with diluted shampoo when needed. Always let the hair dry fully before re-styling. Afro Kinky textures may stretch when wet and the curl pattern may alter with washing, swimming or dyeing.

Yes, Synths2 can be dyed thanks to its collagen-based fibre. We recommend a strand test first, as results may vary depending on the dye. Dyeing Afro Kinky textures may loosen the curl pattern or alter the texture.

Absolutely! Synths2 can be heat-styled up to 180°C, making it perfect for curling, straightening or refreshing your look.

Yes, but we recommend protecting your hair. Wrap it in a silk scarf or bonnet overnight, and rinse and condition after swimming to avoid build-up. Afro Kinky textures in particular may stretch out or change texture when exposed to water frequently.

Yes. Synths2 is hypoallergenic and free from common irritants. This reduces the risk of reactions and makes it suitable for sensitive scalps. However, if you know you are sensitised to bovine collagen and/or acrylates, we recommend choosing human hair extensions instead.

Yes, Synths2 is available in multiple textures (Afro Kinky, Bone Straight, Textured Straight) and shades that can be mixed for a custom look.

When you are ready to remove your extensions, dispose of them in general waste where they will naturally biodegrade. This makes Synths2 a safer, more sustainable alternative to traditional synthetic hair.
