Each fibre is created with naturally occurring protein already present in our hair.
Our key ingredient is high quality collagen, which contains the same amino acids used in the formation of keratin; the primary building block of hair.

How many bundles do I need for a full head?

For the perfect full head of braids, you’ll need the following amount of bundles:
4 bundles for a flat/low density look 5 bundles for a medium density look 6 bundles for a full/high density look
How long is the length of the hair?

The advertised length is the folded length of the hair. e.g. 24” bundles are 48” total in length, and 24” when folded in half. 18” bundles are 36” total in length and 18” when folded in half – as used when braiding.
Do I have to wash the hair before using it?

Our braiding hair comes clean and is not coated in lye so does not need to be washed or soaked in vinegar prior to using it.
Usually I have a reaction to normal braiding hair, will I react to this?

Our braiding hair is hypoallergenic. This means the risk of an adverse reactionissignificantlyminimised.However,weadvisethatthosewithknownsensitisation to bovine collagen and/or acrylates opt for human hair extensionsinstead.

Other industry leading braiding hair is often coated in a corrosive alkaline (sodium hydroxide) and often contains titanium dioxide and calcium carbide, which has been known to cause dermatitis (rashes, redness, swelling, itching, inflammation etc.).
Other industry leading products are typically made from polyester, and/or nylon.

The 'Braid-it' products contain minimal allergy-producing substances (allergens), resulting in minimal allergic reactions as when compared with other synthetic hair fibres.
'Braid-it' is made from high quality ultima collagen fibres, the collagen used to make these fibres is derived from bovine collagen.
Potential allergens: bovine collagen, traces of acrylates. We advise those with known sensitisation to allergens listed, to opt for our range of human hair extensions instead.
